APOLLO AFTER SCHOOL CLUB

• The Apollo After School Club provide after school care for children aged 4 to 11 years during term time.
• Children are collected by playworkers from various schools in the Reading area. The club is open for children from 3.00pm to 6.00pm each day.
• Children can attend every day or some days depending on the needs of parents and children.
• All staff are qualified and experienced in play work, health & safety and child protection.
• All staff are police checked.
• The Apollo is OFSTED registered to provide out of school core.
• Staff work towards creating a safe and relaxed atmosphere for the children so that they can play and learn in a happy environment. A wide range of activities are offered for the children. These include: Cooking, Arts & Craft, Team Games, Drama, Sports, Specialist Workshops, Off Site Trips.
• A "homework table" is also available Monday to Thursday for children to do their homework, should parents wish them to do so.
• A take home service is provided to the following areas: Whitley, Coley, Tilehurst and Oxford Road.
• Our club encourage ways of working with children that challenge bullying, racism and sexism. We also encourage and promote care for the community and the environment.
• The Apollo is close to the town centre, 10 minutes walk from the Oracle and is ideal for those parents who work in or near to the town centre
